New Stuff For Sale!

Just a quick little note: I added some new items to the Etsy shop yesterday (or the day before? Yeah I think the day before), whoo! We haaaaave…

…burp cloths…

…and more self-fold pocket tote in new fabrics!

There are more to come of both, but I can’t put it all up at once, now can I? Gotta leave you something to look forward to, no?

This Gave Me a Smile :)

I’m working on updating my Etsy page with some of my new items and just saw that I was featured in another Etsy user treasury! Take a look at Alternative Blooms’ list Chocolate Sky. Christmas IS coming, you know….

JennySold Designs at Haverford Township Day This Weekend!

This Saturday, JennySold Designs is going to be at Haverford Township Day, my town’s giant block party on steroids of sorts, at which there will be a parade and about 260 booths worth of craft vendors, flea marketers, and community organizations, along with multiple food vendors, live music and (free!) kid’s activities. I’ll be selling my self-fold pocket totes, scarves, burp cloths, pacifier clips, lap blankets, children’s posters, and some headbands if baby Annie lets me squeeze a few more in. :). A good deal of what I will have that day isn’t going up for sale online until after the event, so if you want to have first crack at some of the goods seen below, come on over in person!

I will be sharing a space with my spiky-haired, comic-strippin’ alien-lovin’ friend Dawn Griffin, creator of Zorphbert & Fred and illustrator for the Abby’s Adventures children’s book series, so come check us out.

Event Information:
Haverford Township Day
October 6, 2012
10:00AM – 4:00PM
Darby Road, between Manoa and Mill Roads
Parade on Eagle and Darby Roads

Oh, and How Cool is This?

I just saw that I was featured in my first Etsy user treasury! It’s always pretty awesome when someone adds your item to their favorite list, but setting up a treasury and including you feels extra special :) Check out Baby Boy Blue from Kateeskreations: lots of cute suggestions. Shop on!

Coming Up: Baby, Etsy, and Haverford Township Day on October 6th

Hi all –

So, one way or the other, Baby S will be here tomorrow/Saturday at the latest. This means that I will probably be a bit slacking in the blog/sewing department for a week or two until I get a little stir crazy and need to do “SOMMMMMMETHING already, for the love of CHRIST…” But, in case you were worried (if you’re like me, you’re worried about everything), I have been planning for things by getting a crapton of sewing and sewing prep done, and I am pretty set to get moving full steam ahead once I am able to come up for air. And don’t be surprised if you see a blog or two about the girl who is soon to be the cutest thing you have ever seen. Not me. My hair will probably look like shit.

It’s a little chaotic, but see how everything is labeled and in plastic bags (well maybe you can’t see the label part)? I’m organized at heart :)

In addition to all the items I have photographed and ready to go on Etsy (I just don’t want to post them right before going incommunicado), I will also have a booth at Haverford Township Day in – here comes the brainteaser – Haverford Township, specifically along Darby Road in Havertown, PA, right outside of Philly. The event is Saturday October 6th from 8am-4pm and there’s alot to do: there’s usually live music, lots of free activities for kids, a flea market, craft vendors, food from local establishments and, as I found last year, some really nice people watching, Like the dude in the mullet and jorts who was rockin’ out solo in front of the music stage. But, anyway, I will be sharing a space with my friend Dawn who is a children’s book illustrator as well as comic book artist. In case you want to check out her work, visit www.zfcomics.com or www.abbysfanclub.com.

Talk soon everyone! Hopefully not in baby talk. :)

Self-Fold Tote Pattern. Cheap, and Just MAAAYBE Free….

Hi all!

I am working on adding some more self-fold totes to my Etsy site (I went nuts a couple of weeks ago and just couldn’t resist new fabric). Until then – then being hopefully by next Tuesday the 21st – I still have 3 awesome fabric combos for sale: the Sweet Tweet, the Mushroom Morning and the Honeycomb Garden. If you buy one of these totes now, I will also include a FREE downloadable PDF copy of the pattern for the tote, which I am also selling for $5. Don’t worry if you don’t get to these totes in time; I will renew the offer every time I add new fabric combos. And of course the pattern is always available for sale on it’s own at any time. So… shop on, people!

I Know Some Talented People

Two weekends ago, I had my baby shower. It was a very pretty affair, and it showed me I have alot of friends and family who love me. Faults, messed up sense of humor, recent inability to properly shave my legs (thanks, Baby S) and all. And I ate alot. But these days, when don’t I?

Anyway, what I really wanted to tell you about – because I’m sure you’re not as interested in every detail (and I’m just trying to streamline your day here) – are the handmade elements of the day. I talk all the time about what I do and make, and it’s time to shut my piehole about myself and brag about someone else for once. Thank you!

Welcome sign/banner for Baby S from one of my very best friends April and her sister Mackenzie.

Animal mobile also from April and Mackenzie.

Very colorful Hawaiian diaper cake form my momma Janet. The diapers are Hawaiian print too! This girl will love Hawaii if I have anything to say about it :)

Gorgeous gift set from my friend KC, AKA the Diaper Bag Wrangler. It contains her popular zippered wet bag and link loop diaper bag (both of which are for sale on her site, linked above), handcut chenille blanket, and burp cloth.

Hand-knitted gifts from my other very best friend Hollie. My favorite is the mini uterus. How can it not be?

Cupcakes from April and her mom, Momma Gwen. These ladies are talented bakers. Insanely so. They also did an excellent job on my wedding cake and cupcakes.

Also quite yummy Oreo biscotti, mini cheesecakes, and candy truffle favors from the appropriately named Moore Tasty Treats. I believe the Facebook Group may be invite-only so let me know if you have trouble accessing the page.

Adorable diaper wreath from my sister-in-law Kate and my 6-year old niece Emma. Emma was very proud of her contribution, it was quite cute.
