I Know Some Talented People

Two weekends ago, I had my baby shower. It was a very pretty affair, and it showed me I have alot of friends and family who love me. Faults, messed up sense of humor, recent inability to properly shave my legs (thanks, Baby S) and all. And I ate alot. But these days, when don’t I?

Anyway, what I really wanted to tell you about – because I’m sure you’re not as interested in every detail (and I’m just trying to streamline your day here) – are the handmade elements of the day. I talk all the time about what I do and make, and it’s time to shut my piehole about myself and brag about someone else for once. Thank you!

Welcome sign/banner for Baby S from one of my very best friends April and her sister Mackenzie.

Animal mobile also from April and Mackenzie.

Very colorful Hawaiian diaper cake form my momma Janet. The diapers are Hawaiian print too! This girl will love Hawaii if I have anything to say about it :)

Gorgeous gift set from my friend KC, AKA the Diaper Bag Wrangler. It contains her popular zippered wet bag and link loop diaper bag (both of which are for sale on her site, linked above), handcut chenille blanket, and burp cloth.

Hand-knitted gifts from my other very best friend Hollie. My favorite is the mini uterus. How can it not be?

Cupcakes from April and her mom, Momma Gwen. These ladies are talented bakers. Insanely so. They also did an excellent job on my wedding cake and cupcakes.

Also quite yummy Oreo biscotti, mini cheesecakes, and candy truffle favors from the appropriately named Moore Tasty Treats. I believe the Facebook Group may be invite-only so let me know if you have trouble accessing the page.

Adorable diaper wreath from my sister-in-law Kate and my 6-year old niece Emma. Emma was very proud of her contribution, it was quite cute.
